Payment Plans
To enable our practice to run smoothly, payment for veterinary services is required on the day of service.
However your pet is of the utmost priority to us and we do have procedures in place for clients who are unable to immediately afford veterinary care. We do not turn clients away on this basis.

If there is an emergency with your animal and you are unable to pay on the day of service*, you will need to apply for Care Credit. Care Credit provides flexible payment plans for the immediate treatment of your pet. Care Credit has interest free and extended Payment Plans that allow you to begin you pet's treatment now, then pay for it over time. There is a small administration fee charged by Springfield District Vets, and a fee charged by Care Credit, processed via Springfield District Vets, which will be added to the completed invoice remaining unpaid at the time of discharge.
You will be provided with a Care Credit ‘Conditions of Use’ booklet and information on how best to spread your payments. In order to ensure you are not charged extra interest, you must be sure to pay the balance of your account to Care Credit within the interest free period that you specify, not just the minimum amount each month.
The quickest way to complete this application is to log on to www.carecredit.com.au online.
In the event that you are declined for Care Credit, staff must then pass this matter onto the practice manager. Proof of the declination by Care Credit must be provided before we can see if it is possible to assist you in any other way. Occasionally if we contact Care Credit they may be able to accept an application for a lesser amount of credit.
As a last resort, Springfield District Vets is able to organise Centrepay, where direct payment is received from Centrelink with client permission for essential services, in order that your pet can be cared for.
