The clinic is abuzz with changes this month. The clinic has expanded yet again! This time a new admissions room which will double as ultrasound, endoscope and dental procedure room. We look forward to showing you around once all is complete.
We match prices: Springfield District Vets offer the highest quality service and do not wish to engage in price wars, however we dearly value our clients and where possible will match prices.

Please remember many dog tick products are toxic to cats!

We are now able to offer a high quality boarding service for your cats. Your cat will situated away from dogs, in an area of staff traffic where he or she will be regularly seen and talked to, cuddles and kindness guaranteed! For more information or to book please call the staff on ph 3288 1574
Interesting surgery this month
A young cat was admitted for surgery to remove a large number of Hair Ties which it had eaten! The surgery was successful, however he became ill again after initial recovery. He was referred to the University Specialist Clinic where thiamine (vitamin B) deficiency was diagnosed, which occurred due to inappetance during his illness. Difficult to diagnose but easier to treat, this lovely little cat is now doing well.
More about Thiamine Deficiency
A number of you may have read articles in the Courier Mail regarding serious Thiamine deficiency occurring as a result of high levels of Sulphur Dioxide preservative in a number of dog mince and rolls commonly sold in supermarkets. We would never recommend these foods, on a number of levels. The clinic stocks the new frozen RAW food which is fed to Guide Dogs across Australia. This delicious dog food is preservative free. Our freezer is well stocked and we will continue to provide healthy foods for all pets through our store.
Two lovely Pomeranian X Puppies
Two lovely little family dogs are available in the pet store. They would love a new home.
