Dr Jeannet Kessels BVSc (Hons)
Practice Principal, Senior Veterinarian

Jeannet graduated from the University of Queensland with First Class Honours in 1986.  She is the owner of Springfield District Vets and well known within the community.  Jeannet is a senior veterinarian with wide practical experience and a warm approach.  She has a keen interest in surgery and reproduction work.  Jeannet is most happy to provide a free second opinion within the practice upon request. She greatly enjoys her  family life and is following artistic pursuits in her spare time.

Dr Karen Williams BVSc (Hons)
Veterinarian

Karen graduated from the University of Queensland with First Class Honours in 2007. She is very thorough in the workup of cases, precise in her surgery and well liked by clients. Her particular interest is in canine medicine, surgery and ultrasonography. Karen enjoys jumping and dressage with her thoroughbred Pete. 

 

Dr Marilyn Neale BVSc (Hons)
Veterinarian

Marilyn graduated from the University of Queensland with Honours in 2005.  She enjoys small animal medicine, animal behaviour, diagnostic imaging and is an excellent surgeon.  Marilyn's warm and compassionate approach endears her to clients. Marilyn owns a whippet named Penny.


Dr Pagaen Boyd BVSc (Hons)
Veterinarian

Pagaen graduated from the University of Queensland with Honours in 2009 as a top level veterinary student. In her spare time she enjoys showing and being involved with breeding of her parent's Springer Spaniels. Pagaen has a particular interest in the field of reproduction, with time spent with Veterinary Reproduction Specialist Dr Phil Thomas. Pagaen is an excellent general veterinarian, dedicated and thoughtful in all of her work. 

Dr Rachel Ball BVSc (Hons)
Veterinarian

Rachel graduated from the University of Queensland with First Class Honours in 2009 as a top level veterinary student, along with her twin sister. She has a particular flair for Small Animal Medicine with a particular interest in Endocrinology (the study of hormone imbalances). Rachel is extremely thorough and particular,and is very kind and considerate in all that she does.

 

 Deborah Pope
Practice Manager

Deb is our cheerful Practice Manager. She is also an experienced, qualified Veterinary Nurse, and is the proud owner of 2 beautiful Labradors - Molly and Henry.


 

Storm Higgins
Receptionist

Storm is a bright and cheerful petstore and aquarium staff member. She enjoys horse-riding and would like to become an Equine Veterinarian.




Lisa Lavery
Receptionist

Lisa is an experienced Veterinary Nurse and our part-time exceptional receptionist. Lisa owns two Miniature Foxies named Gus and Ruby, and also has chickens.  She is an enthusiastic cook and grows spicy Habanero chillies.


Susan O'Hare VN
Veterinary Nurse, Animal Behaviourist
 

 Sue is an exceptional Veterinary Nurse, Animal Behaviourist and has a wealth of knowledge of pocket pets. She teaches Puppy Pre-school Classes and runs Happy Hounds dog training classes. Sue has a gentle Golden Retriever named Barney - her Accredited Delta Pet Partner, a Galah and a pale-headed Rosella. Sue is heading back to merry old England in 2012, we will miss her.

 

Shannon Hope VN
Veterinary Nurse

Shannon is a highly competent, gentle and thoughtful Veterinary Nurse, currently completing her Certificate IV. She enjoys horse-riding and owns an energetic Cattle Dog named Maggie.

 

 

Sandra Miotto VN
Veterinary Nurse

Sandra is a treasured and multi-talented staff member, who is studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She is an integral part of the Groodles Project and is an amazing cook. Sandra owns a menagarie of dogs and horses.

 

Rebecca Apps VN
Veterinary Nurse

Rebecca is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.  She is thoughtful and caring in all that she does, and is the proud owner of Mia, a Bull Arab cross, as well as many other pets. Bec has an interest in snakes, and has acquired a beautiful Albino Darwin Python who will grow to over 3 metres long!


Courtney Page VN
Veterinary Nurse

Courtney is our endearing Veterinary Nurse, and has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Courtney owns two Labradors named Ruby and Nero.  She is interested in training her dogs with the Delta Society, so she can take them to visit sick children in hospital.  She will commence a Diploma in Emergency and Critical Care in 2012.

Veterinary Nurse
 

Emma is a delightful and kind Veterinary nurse, currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She is the proud owner to a pet python, and 2 Jack Russells. Em is taking a break from Veterinary Nursing in 2012.

 

Samantha Bayly
Veterinary Nurse In-Training

Sam is our helpful Kennel Hand who is commencing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She thoroughly enjoys working with animals and is the proud owner of Red, a beautiful red poodle, Eli the toy poodle and Ripley the cat. Sam would like to one day have Champion Otterhound Show Dogs.

Lynne is extremely talented with numbers and organisation, and is a trusted and greatly valued member of staff.

 

 

Karan Gooch
Veterinary Assistant

Karan is our part-time rouseabout, who we call on to assist wherever needed. She has a broad knowledge of almost anything and owns a menagerie of loved pets. Karan will commence a Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing in 2012.

 

Jayde Stockhill
Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Nurse In-Training

Jayde is a caring Veterinary Assistant who is commencing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2012. She has 2 cats; Fabuki and a Layanese named Albert.  She also has a gelding Thoroughbred named Pirate and Quarterhorse X Stockhorse named Apple.   Jayde would like to one day do Showjumping at the Olympics. She would also like to work with Elephants and become an Equine Veterinarian.
